Premier F.M. 93.5 Ibadan, popularly called “Your Dependable Companion,” was established and inaugurated on the 30th of October, 2001 by the Late Chief (Mrs.) Stella Obasanjo, wife of the former Nigerian President, Chief  Olusegun Obasanjo.

With a coverage area of six states, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara and Ondo States, Premier F.M. has an estimated audience of about four million people.

It has Mrs. Toyin Williams as the Pioneer General Manager, while the incumbent is Mr. Gabriel Onafurume.

The station broadcasts mainly in English and Yoruba with News highlights being read hourly, while the main bulletins come up at Noon and Five in the evening.

The station, which has a staff strength of eighteen, started twenty four hours transmission on the first of February 2007.

Although the Broadcasting House is situated at Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe Ibadan, the station has a Mini-Studio and its 20 KHZ transmitter located at Moniya, in the outskirts of Ibadan, the largest cosmopolitan city in black Africa.

Premier F.M. broadcasts several quality programmes, including News Parade every week day, Morning Safari, and the Yoruba version, “ejire” Every Woman, Games Park,\Sportsw Guide, PFM Saturday show, among others.
